5 STEPS TO A NEW CAREER!

1. SELECT A PROGRAM

OCPS Career and Technical Education offers career training programs, GED preparation, Adult English Literacy classes, short term workshops and classes, and much more.

2. MEET WITH A COUNSELOR

Our counselors will help you decide on the program or class that will meet your career objectives and learning goals. Be sure to ask about financial aid as you may be qualified to receive a grant or student loan. (Remember to bring your high school diploma, picture identification and proof of residency.)

3. TALK TO THE INSTRUCTOR

Our instructors are fully certified and industry-prepared so that the instruction you receive is first class. Many of the programs offer orientation so you can learn more about the career you will enter upon graduation. Our instructors are committed to your career success!

4. TAKE THE TABE TEST

Depending on your academic background, you may be asked to take the “Test of Adult Basic Education” (TABE) to assess your current academic grade level.

Don't worry, when you see a counselor, you will receive test-taking tips and information about the test. We are here to help you succeed!

5. REGISTER

Complete the “Initial Application Form” and you will be all set. Many of our classes are open enrollment which means that you can enter the class when you are ready (provided there is a seat available). Call us today and become a student at OCPS CTE!
