High School Opportunities

Extensive Opportunities.

We offer career and technical education exploratory courses to students in 7th and 8th grade. ChangeAnd, once students enter high school, CTE offers an expansive array of programs designed to accommodate just about everyone. For high school students, our programs include:

Career academies – small, personalized learning environments focused on various career fields such as finance, healthcare and more.

Co-Enrolled Program – a program that allows students to obtain academic credits necessary for graduation. Courses are offered at some Tech Centers, through online courses, and at Adult and Community Education Service Centers. High school guidance counselors can provide additional information.

Dual Enrollment – an innovative learning approach that allows high school students to take technical classes at a Tech Center while continuing their academic studies at their home high school.

Career Pathways – a program that allows students to focus on secondary technical electives necessary to attain employment in a high-skill, high-wage occupation and earn future college credits while in high school

Youth Apprenticeship – a two–year program that prepares students for employment in the diverse field of construction technologies.

GED Exit Option – provides students with the academic knowledge to pass the GED and prepare for the career of their choice.
