Career Pathways

Career Pathways

The Career Pathways program offers high school students the opportunity to focus on secondary technical electives that will help to train them for high-skill, high-wage occupations. At the same time, students can begin earning technical center or community college credits while attending high school. Students are encouraged to take higher level academic courses while in the program and to maintain a ā€œCā€ or better grade point average.

Career pathways have been developed around sixteen career clusters. Career Pathways show the transition from the high school program to postsecondary education, including Orange County Tech Centers, Valencia and baccalaureate programs.  Thus, while in high school students are preparing for careers and postsecondary education.  Students can being earning college credits by participating in a joint assessment that is developed for 32 career pathways.
